Day one of the Creative Every Day 2010 was a bit lame (but I'm okay with that). I was wiped out from ringing in the new year and crawling into bed at 1:30 am. Now that I have my excuse out there I can tell you that indeed I was creative!
* I planned my 2010 in great detail. I spent time in visualization via my Law of Attraction lifestyle
* I formed tight snowballs in the new fallen snow (& threw them, too)
* I formed new friendships at the neighborhood sledding party
* I cooked my mom's famous Red Soup recipe
* I baked my famous scones
Now, just to show you that I'm an open book I will share with you the V.E.R.Y. secret recipe for Red Soup.
RED SOUP
One Quart of V-8 Juice
One quart of water
One handful of white rice or barley
One handful of spaghetti, broken into 3-4" pieces
One handful of pasta noodles (macaroni, penne, spirals...whatever is your fave)
one medium onion, peeled and chopped
2-3 T butter
Melt the butter in a large stockpot, saute the onions until they are translucent and maybe a bit browned and your whole kitchen smells delicious.
Add the V-8 juice to the stockpot then fill the juice bottle with water and add that to the pot. When it is boiling go ahead and add the rice, spaghetti and pasta to the pot. Turn the heat to low and let it simmer. Stir occasionally.
When the rice and pasta are at your desired doneness salt and pepper the whole big mess and serve it with grilled cheese sandwiches or homemade white bread thick with peanut butter.
(You can all thank me later for sharing this recipe) Please don't tell my mom I told you how it's done.
Enjoy.

Sunflower Studio is Back
Hi. It's me again. Yeah, it's me, Tam. I used to run this blog as Sunflower Studio. I had a small but comfy little following and then I got all wrapped up in L.I.F.E. and it went by the wayside.
That was three years ago and I never really stopped creating, you see, I actually created a lot. For example, I created a whole new life. I moved 100 miles away and took on a new apartment by myself. Then I went out and created a wonderful relationship with a man I adore. Oh, then I went deep into myself and created a whole new outlook and an online presence. I really dive back into the written word.I wrote two children's books. One is called "Just Be Yourself" and the other, really special book is "Molly Kite Has Faith". Hmmm, I created three e-books which I'll discuss at another time and also did some terrific mixed medix art in between that.
But the real reason I came back to Blogger and decided to reopen this shop is because I realized that I was missing hands-on art. I love writing, I love it, but I am missing getting dirty.
Leah, the delightful mexide media artist who operates Creative Every Day dot com went and twittered about the 2010 year long Creative Every Day Challenge and me being a huge Leah fan and all, I knew I had to sign up. It just felt right.
My goal is to post here at least two times a week but to do art daily. I want to get back into my creative self and share it with the world. If I get sidetracked by that little thing I call L.I.F.E. and I forget to post regularly you have my permission to call me on it.
I am a big fan of line drawings so you may see a lot of that as my qualified "Creative Every Day" piece. However I do love my sewing machine and I love those mixed media backgrounds, too, so really, who knows what will come up.
